With the arrival of good weather, there's nothing better than going on a great motorcycle route. At ACMOTOS, we know how much you enjoy riding your motorcycle, so we'll show you some of the most enjoyable motorcycle routes in Andalusia. Let's get started!

Costa del Sol Route

One of the most famous motorcycle routes in Andalusia is the Costa del Sol Route.

This route offers a variable itinerary, as you can start from different points in Andalusia, but we recommend starting from Malaga. To give you an idea, the route covers approximately 200 kilometers, allowing you to explore many places.

Beach of Costa del Sol

Starting from Malaga, we recommend visiting the Alcazaba, the Roman Theatre, or its cathedral. It's also a great opportunity to indulge in the local cuisine. After enjoying Malaga, head out on the A-7, the Mediterranean Highway, and your first stop will be Fuengirola.

In Fuengirola, you can enjoy its beaches, restaurants, and the Bioparc, a zoo where you'll encounter a wide variety of animals. Continuing on the A-7, the next stop will be Marbella, one of the most iconic cities on the Costa del Sol. In Marbella, we suggest you savor the lively city life and visit designer shops.

Following the A-7, you'll reach Puerto Banús, an exclusive marina where you can marvel at luxury yachts docking in the city. Moreover, you'll find some of the most prestigious fashion brands if you want to go shopping. The next destination on the A-7 will be Estepona, a charming town where you can delight in the local cuisine.

If you want to extend the route a bit more, you can reach Gibraltar to visit its Rock, as it's just an hour away from Estepona. Along this route, you'll find various rest areas such as the Mirador de la Cañada, Puerto de Málaga, or Cabopino.

White Villages Route

Another of the best motorcycle routes in Andalusia is the White Villages route. One of the reasons why the best motorcycle routes in Andalusia pass through so many villages is because of their beauty. This route can be extended up to 300 kilometers, but it's full of charm.

The route starts in the city of Ronda, a city with a rich historical heritage that's worth visiting. From Ronda, head south on the A-369 until you reach the first stop, Zahara de la Sierra.

White village of Andalusia

Zahara de la Sierra is a charming village on top of a hill, known for its stunning views of the Zahara-El Gastor reservoir. Continuing the route, you'll arrive at Grazalema via the A-2300, a village located in the heart of the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park, where you can enjoy hiking trails and its old town.

The next stop will be Ubrique, a town you'll reach via the A-372. Ubrique is renowned for its leather industry, so we recommend visiting a workshop and making a handcrafted purchase. Through the A-373, you'll reach Arcos de la Frontera, another village where you can enjoy spectacular views of the Guadalete River valley and visit the Minor Basilica of Santa María de la Asunción.

If you don't want to end the route in Arcos de la Frontera, you can continue to other villages such as Olvera, Setenil de las Bodegas, or Jimena de la Frontera, among others. Along this route, you'll find several natural viewpoints and restaurants along the road.

Sierra Nevada Route

We conclude with a different and somewhat shorter route, as it doesn't reach 100 kilometers, the Sierra Nevada route. It's one of the motorcycle routes in Andalusia that will especially appeal to mountain lovers, as it abandons coastal landscapes for mountain scenery.

This route starts in Granada, at the foothills of Sierra Nevada. From Granada, take the A-395, which will lead you directly to the mountains, where the views begin to be breathtaking.

Ride up Sierra Nevada, enjoying the mountainous landscape until you reach the Mirador de la Hoya de la Mora, a viewpoint where you can take a break and enjoy spectacular views of snow-capped peaks and surrounding valleys.

Continue to the Sierra Nevada National Park via the A-395. You'll cross rivers, forests, and mountain landscapes, experiencing all the beauty the Natural Park has to offer. Along the route, you can stop at rest areas such as the El Dornajo Recreational Area or La Alfaguara to feel the mountain air.

When undertaking this route, we recommend choosing a day with favorable weather, as the experience can vary greatly depending on the weather conditions.

What do I need for a motorcycle route? To enjoy a motorcycle route, first, make sure your motorcycle is in perfect condition. Check tire pressure, fluid levels... basically, perform a full maintenance with a full fuel tank.

Also, always carry some water, a GPS device, a mobile phone, an emergency first aid kit, and a basic repair kit, such as a puncture repair kit. Finally, you should wear the appropriate protective gear, including boots, pants, and a jacket, to ensure you're well protected while riding.

Take your time and enjoy the journey, paying attention to the road. These routes are fantastic places to pass through and relax with the scenery.
