How Customacces works

The brand plays with the timeless codes of custom style: chrome or black, leather, and traditional motifs such as the Maltese cross, flames or arrows. It makes the parts that depend on the frame, such as brackets, fairings, backrests and engine guards, to fit each bike, and keeps universal the ones that adapt to almost any cruiser, such as grips, headlights, indicators or soft saddlebags. That mix lets you transform a second-hand Japanese cruiser just as much as an American one.

Where to start customising your cruiser

Touring: saddlebags, top boxes and backrests

On a custom bike, luggage is part of the look. Customacces saddlebags range from soft leather bags with their universal brackets to hard ABS ones, which need a model-specific bracket or the universal KF bracket. If you would rather carry things at the back, the Travel and Mercedes top boxes come with their brackets, and a passenger backrest with a luggage rack supports whoever rides behind you and gives you somewhere to strap a bag.

Wind: batwings and fairings

Batwing and headlight fairings change the front end more than anything else. The compact batwing SML, with a two-position screen, and the large batwing, which shelters your chest on the open road, are made for the Rebel 500, Vulcan S, Street 750, Sportster, Yamaha XV950 or Scout Bobber, and there is a universal one too. The Free Spirit and Snake Eye are shorter and mostly about style.

Lighting: headlights, indicators and tail lights

Swapping the round headlight for twin lamps or a designer LED unit such as the Ovni or Revolver, or adding two chrome spotlights, is one of the first jobs on a classic cruiser. You will find them among the Customacces headlights, and the brand also makes classic-style indicators and brake lights such as the Flama. Check on the product page whether each part is road-approved: it is the first thing a roadworthiness test looks at.

Hands and feet

Custom grips come in 22 mm and 25.4 mm, the one-inch size used by Harley-Davidson, so measure your handlebar before choosing. For the passenger there are chrome floorboards and pillion pads, and with a pair of clamps you can fit highway pegs to the engine guard and stretch your legs on long rides.

Engine protection

The Mustache engine guards for the Sportster and the stainless steel guards for the Shadow, Intruder or Midnight Star shield the cylinders in a standstill drop, and some take clear deflectors that keep the wind off your legs.

Bikes with model-specific parts

Harley-Davidson: Sportster 883 and 1200 (Iron, Forty-Eight, Seventy-Two, Nightster, SuperLow, Custom), Street 750, Softail Fat Boy and Dyna Street Bob and Fat Bob.

Honda: Shadow VT 125 and VT 750 in their various versions, VTX 1300 and CMX 500 Rebel.

Yamaha: Midnight Star XVS950A, XVS1300A and XV1900, plus the XV950.

Kawasaki VN 900 and Vulcan S, Suzuki Intruder C800 and Volusia VL800, Triumph America and Thunderbird, Indian Scout Bobber and Hyosung GV650 Aquila.

Before you order

Check the years and exact version of your bike: within the Sportster family, not every part fits every version.

For hard saddlebags and top boxes, check whether the bracket is included or sold separately.

For universal parts, measure first: handlebar diameter, headlight rim or the gap between exhaust and wheel.

Not sure which part number is yours? Tell us your bike on the chat and we will find it with you. To complete the look, our custom helmets follow the same style, and the brands page lists every other maker we stock.
