Tucano Urbano

If you are after a Tucano Urbano leg cover, you are after the product that made this Milan brand's name among scooter riders: the Termoscud, a thermal apron cut to fit each model. Here you will find its covers for Honda, Yamaha, Kymco, SYM, Piaggio, Peugeot and BMW scooters, a few universal ones and its handlebar muffs.

The idea: stay warm in your everyday clothes

Tucano Urbano designs for people who ride to work every day in normal clothes. Rather than asking them to pull on winter trousers or a rain suit, it puts the protection on the scooter itself: the cover stays fixed in front of the seat, you climb on, tuck your legs underneath and, when you arrive, you get off without taking anything off. That urban approach runs through the whole brand, which beyond this section also makes rainwear, gloves and city helmets.

What you will find from Tucano Urbano here

• Termoscud: the model-specific leg cover, with a waterproof outer and sealed seams, a faux-leather lining and edges you inflate through a valve (the S.G.A.S. system) so it does not flap at speed.
• Termoscud PRO, S and S-PRO: the all-year versions, with a removable thermal liner; the S models, made for the latest scooters, clip onto a rigid spoiler.
• Gaucho: the range for geared motorcycles, in a universal version for low or tall bikes and one made for BMW's GS (R 1200 and R 1250).
• Universal covers: the Easy and R194 models, for flat-floor scooters and city journeys.
• Muffs: neoprene or EVA hand covers that fix to the handlebar, with versions for bars with and without bar ends.

How to choose between them, how they fit and what to expect in the rain are explained step by step in the Tucano Urbano leg covers section.

Which scooters are covered

The list is long because every generation of a model gets its own part number. The most popular fit the Honda PCX, SH and Forza, the Yamaha N-MAX and XMAX, the Vespa Primavera, the Piaggio Medley, the Suzuki Burgman and the Kymco DTX 360. There are also covers for maxi-scooters along the lines of the TMAX, X-ADV or Kymco AK 550, three-wheelers such as the MP3 or Tricity, and electric models such as the BMW CE 04. Model-specific covers are coded with an R and a number, and the letters at the end give the version.

To round off a winter commuting kit, a pair of warm motorcycle gloves and an open-face helmet are the usual partners of a leg cover. And you will find every other maker we sell under all our brands.
