Have you had a fall and bent the handlebar of your bike? Or maybe you want to replace the standard one with the color of your bike? In acmotos you will find both cylindrical (same diameter around the handlebars) and conical (variable diameter between the middle and the handlebar) handlebars. Need help?
The handlebar is a type of accessory that generates many doubts when choosing which is the one that our motorcycle needs. In this small guide we will teach you the aspects that you must know to make a good purchase.
These two terms define the type of handlebar diameter. Those with a center of greater diameter than the ends are called conical handlebars, specifically they are 29mm in the center and 22mm in the ends. On the contrary, the cylindrical handlebars maintain the same diameter throughout the handlebar (22mm).
To know what you need the most advisable thing to do is to directly review what type of handlebar your bike carries and acquire one of the same diameter. If your motorcycle has a cylindrical handlebar (fixed diameter) but you like more the conical handlebars (variable diameter) we have adapters available for the turret (where the handlebar is fastened) that make you adapt it without problems.
When you enter one of the handlebars you will find a height selector. This height will make the fists be at a higher or lower position depending on the one you choose.
If you do not know which one to choose, we recommend that you buy the option marked by default (46mm for cylindrical and 40mm for conical), since they are the most standard measurements.
The Puig handlebars come with an internal thread at their ends to adapt 14mm thread bar ends. Universal bar ends that work with silent blocks can also be adapted without problems, that is to say, the system that allows you custom tighten your screw the center is widened until it is fixed to the handlebar without the need to use the thread. It is possible that the standard bar ends are not adaptable to a Puig handlebar, in this case we recommend you also acquire a universal bar ends.
The total length of the handlebars is 735mm and is usually slightly longer than the original handlebars. If you want to make them shorter you can cut the ends at the same distance, however that will bother the handlebar thread, which is why you must use bar ends with silent blocks.
