Puig Tank Pads

Puig tank pads are adhesive protectors that sit on top of the tank, right where your jacket zip or belt buckle rubs, and they change the look of the bike while they are at it. Puig makes them in two ways: cut to fit the tank of a specific model, or with a universal design that suits almost any tank. Knowing which of the two you are after saves you scrolling through the whole list.

Made for one model

• Pro and Pro 2: two designs shaped to each bike's tank, in clear, which lets the paintwork show through, or in black. Some bikes, such as the 2024 ZX-6R or CBR600RR, offer both to choose from.
• Spirit: black or silver, for one model (Z900, Ténéré 700, Rebel 500) or for several from the same manufacturer; there is a universal Spirit too.
• Carbon look: model-specific pads for nakeds and adventure bikes such as the MT-07, Z650, F 850 GS or R 1250 GS.
• Scratch Saver: for maxi-scooters like the TMAX, XMAX, X-ADV or ADV 350, where the scuffs gather on the centre section between your knees.

Universal designs

If you would rather choose on looks, Puig has dozens of designs that do not depend on the bike: Violent, Moon, Drei, Radikal or Skull in several colours; Leather, with a leather look, and Soft, with a softer feel; Wings and Future, in each manufacturer's colours; and several dedicated to Marc Márquez. To cover an area with a different shape, the universal adhesive sheet in black, clear or carbon look can be trimmed by hand.

All of these protect the top of the tank. If what you want is a better grip with your knees, the Puig side tank pads are designed for exactly that. And if you are unsure how to apply one or which material suits you, our motorcycle tank pads section explains it whatever the brand, and for everything else the brand makes, head to Puig.
