The Akrapovič Evolution Line KIT carbon full exhaust system is made for the Yamaha YZF R1 2009-2014 and riders preparing it for track use. It combines titanium and carbon fibre with a racing sound and weighs less than the standard exhaust.
On the motorcycle Akrapovič used for testing, maximum gains were +7.8 metric hp (+5.7 kW) and +9.4 Nm, both at 5,900 rpm. The system weighed 5.9 kg against 10 kg for the standard exhaust, a 41% reduction; these figures relate to that test motorcycle.
- Headers: include a crossover pipe.
- Radiator clearance: the header layout accommodates a larger racing radiator.
- Link pipe: has no mounting points for the original heat shield.
- Silencer heat shields: are designed for racing; the original shields cannot be fitted.
- Noise reducers: the silencers have no dB killers.
This system is intended for track use. It is not road approved and does not meet emissions requirements for street or highway use.
