Barkbusters

Barkbusters is an Australian brand of motorcycle handguards, made in Australia for over thirty years. The system is built around an aluminium backbone that bolts to the bike and plastic guards that fit over it: the backbone protects your hands and levers in a fall or against branches, and the plastic keeps off wind, cold and rain.

How it fits: mounting kit and guards

On most bikes you need two parts: the mounting kit for your bike, with the two-point aluminium backbone, and the plastic guards you prefer: VPS, with an adjustable wind deflector; the more compact JET; or the more enclosing Storm. EGO handguards and the universal Storm kits already include their backbone and fit straight onto the handlebar.

Accessories and spare parts

To complete the setup there are wind deflectors, LED lights and bar ends, and if you lose a part or change handlebars, spare parts and hardware has clamps, adaptors, spacers and bolts. To compare with other makers, see motorcycle handguards.
