The black Akrapovič Slip-On Line exhaust replaces the silencer on the 2013-2018 BMW R 1200 GS. It brings Akrapovič’s distinctive sound and changes the bike’s performance without replacing the complete exhaust system.
The silencer has a titanium outer sleeve and a carbon-fibre end cap. The performance and weight figures below come from Akrapovič’s measurements on a 2013 R 1200 GS and may vary for other model years.
- Power: maximum increase of 1.8 CV (1.3 kW) at 5,250 rpm.
- Torque: maximum increase of 2.2 Nm at 4,800 rpm.
- Weight: 4.42 kg versus 4.95 kg for the standard exhaust, a reduction of 10.7%.
- Approval: TÜV Euro 4.
- Luggage: compatible with BMW side cases.
- Noise reducer: no dB killer fitted.
- Fitting: approximately 30 minutes.
If you plan to add the optional header set, bear in mind that the carbon-fibre heat shield cannot be fitted with it.
