The Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Carbon) exhaust is designed for the BMW M 1000 R and S 1000 R from 2021-2026. It has a carbon-fibre outer sleeve and delivers an intense sound at idle that becomes deep and full on the move.

Akrapovič measured the weight and performance figures on the motorcycle in its product data; results may vary by model.

  • Construction: lightweight titanium link pipe and titanium inner silencer structure.
  • Weight: 1.75 kg versus 2.28 kg for the standard exhaust, a 23.2% reduction on the tested motorcycle.
  • Measured gains: +0.5 hp (+0.4 kW) at 11,200 rpm and +0.5 Nm at 9,600 rpm.
  • Approval: TÜV Euro 5 and EC/ECE type approval, subject to the limitations below.
  • Installation: plug-and-play fitting in approximately 20 minutes, with no remapping required.
  • Noise reducer: no dB killer is fitted.
  • Optional upgrade: can be combined with titanium or stainless-steel headers.

EC/ECE type approval is not valid for the M 1000 R and is invalidated by fitting the optional headers. On 2025 motorcycles with a single seat, installation requires the original passenger footpeg bracket.
