The Akrapovič slip-on exhaust for the 2010-2013 BMW R 1200 GS replaces the standard silencer and brings the brand’s distinctive sound. It changes the exhaust without requiring a complete system replacement.
The silencer has a titanium outer sleeve and a carbon-fibre end cap. Akrapovič’s tests recorded gains in power and torque, along with a weight saving over the original silencer.
- Power: maximum increase of +2.5 hp (+1.8 kW) at 4,400 rpm.
- Torque: maximum increase of +4.7 Nm at 4,450 rpm.
- Weight: 2.6 kg versus 5 kg for the standard silencer; 48% lighter.
