The Akrapovič Slip-On Line silencer for the 2022-2024 Ducati DesertX 950 replaces the standard silencer with one that delivers a deep, sporty exhaust note. It is designed to save weight while maintaining responsive throttle behaviour.
A carbon-fibre end cap completes the design. The purpose-designed heat shield helps protect both the passenger and luggage from heat.
- Construction: titanium outer sleeve with a stainless-steel link pipe and internal structure.
- Weight: 2.25 kg versus 3.38 kg for the standard system measured by Akrapovič; a 33.4% (1.1 kg) reduction.
- Performance: +1.8 kW (2.4 hp) at 9,400 rpm and +1.8 Nm at 8,100 rpm compared with the standard system in Akrapovič testing.
- Approval: EC/ECE type approval and TÜV Euro 5 approval.
- Fitting: plug-and-play installation with no remapping required; approximately 40 minutes to fit.
- Noise reduction: DB killer included.
The optional link pipe offers a sportier sound, but fitting it invalidates this silencer’s EC/ECE type approval.
