The titanium Akrapovič Megaphone is a slip-on silencer for the 2009-2011 Suzuki GSX-R 1000. Its GP-inspired design is aimed at track-focused riding and brings Akrapovič’s distinctive exhaust note.
In the manufacturer’s tests, fitting this exhaust improved performance while substantially reducing weight compared with the standard unit.
- Peak power: increase of +2.8 metric hp (+2.1 kW) at 12,150 rpm.
- Peak torque: increase of +2.4 Nm at 8,800 rpm.
- Weight: 1.2 kg versus 6 kg for the standard exhaust, an 80% reduction.
- Noise insert: no dB killer fitted.
- Approval: not homologated.
These figures were measured on the motorcycle in Akrapovič’s technical data and may vary by model. This exhaust does not meet emissions requirements for use on public roads.
