Highsider Grips

The Highsider grips are handlebar grips, almost all of them 22 mm, for changing the feel and look of the bike. There are five models, all in black: the Akron, the Ventura-Trek, the rubber Montana, one in foam rubber and another at 22.0 mm.

Rubber or foam

The Montana is rubber and measures 125 mm long, a little more than many stock grips, so check that it fits between the switchgear and the end of the bar. The foam rubber one is softer and lighter and absorbs more vibration, at the cost of wearing out sooner. The Akron and the Ventura-Trek, at 22.2 mm, are series the brand repeats on indicators, bar ends and mirrors, so they help give a uniform look.

Sizes and the full set

Four of the five state 22 mm in their name; for the foam rubber one it is not given, so confirm its size on the product page. On a Harley-Davidson or a custom with a 25.4 mm bar they will not fit, and for that case there are motorcycle grips from other brands, where the effect of a ride-by-wire throttle is also explained. To complete the change, combine them with the Highsider handlebars and Highsider bar ends.
