The MIVV GP silencer for the 2002-2003 Yamaha YZF-R1 is designed to give the bike a sportier look and change its sound. MIVV has also developed it with improved performance in mind, though it provides no figures for any gains.
Its design draws on technical solutions used in racing models.
- Configuration: slip-on exhaust.
- Shape: short, round body.
- Outlet: widened exit.
- Material: carbon-fibre centre section, which helps keep the silencer light.
It suits riders who want to give their R1 a sporting character with a compact silencer design.
