Accessories for the Aprilia Caponord 1200

The Aprilia Caponord 1200 is a touring-focused adventure bike, well suited to road trips, weekend escapes and longer journeys. Preparing it for that kind of riding means thinking beyond appearance: wind exposure over several hours, your riding position and low-speed manoeuvres at stops all deserve attention. Screens, protection and the parts that support your hands and feet are therefore sensible places to start.

What riders usually fit to the Aprilia Caponord 1200

• Screens: help redirect airflow on motorway stretches and open-road journeys. For a Caponord used over long distances, screen height needs to work with your seated position while preserving a clear view of the road ahead.
• Crash bobbins and bars: can help limit damage from a stationary tip-over or low-speed fall. They are particularly relevant to touring use, when luggage adds another consideration to parking, turning around and manoeuvring at fuel stops.
• Foot pegs: provide the support your feet rely on throughout a long day's ride. Their platform and position influence how your legs sit, making them worth considering when setting up the Caponord for repeated hours on the road.
• Phone mounts: keep a navigation phone secured for unfamiliar routes. On a trip with several junctions and planned stops, a useful mounting position leaves the instruments visible; set the route before moving off rather than adjusting it while riding.
• Levers: their shape and reach affect how your hands operate the controls. That matters when a touring day includes winding roads followed by busy town centres, where repeated clutch and brake use can make hand comfort more noticeable.

Think about where discomfort starts on your longer rides. Wind pressure on faster roads and an awkward leg position call for different changes, so identifying the cause gives your Caponord setup a clearer direction.
