Accessories for the Aprilia Dorsoduro 1200

The Aprilia Dorsoduro 1200 brings a supermoto approach to road riding, making winding routes a natural part of its appeal. Its upright riding position also suits journeys across town, so useful additions depend on how you divide your time between commuting and weekend rides. Wind protection, protection against minor falls and comfort at the controls are sensible priorities before turning to purely visual changes.

What riders usually fit to the Aprilia Dorsoduro 1200

• Windscreens: worth considering when reaching your favourite bends involves a motorway stretch. An upright stance leaves your upper body exposed to the airflow, so a screen can make those connecting miles less tiring. Screen height matters more for this use than appearance alone.
• Protectors and crash bungs: help limit damage in a stationary drop or low-speed fall. They are particularly relevant when your Dorsoduro doubles as urban transport, with regular parking, tight spaces and slow manoeuvres rather than just open-road riding.
• Mirrors: offer a way to change the bike’s appearance while addressing your rearward view. For a mix of town traffic and twisting roads, a clear view from your normal upright position is more useful than a striking shape that leaves too much of the reflection filled by your arms.
• Levers: deserve attention on a bike regularly taken out on winding roads. Comfortable reach and a natural place for your fingers matter when braking frequently. For this kind of riding, how your hand meets the control is more relevant than a decorative finish.
• Tail tidies: suit riders who want a cleaner-looking rear end that complements the Dorsoduro’s supermoto style. Unlike a screen or crash protection, their main contribution is visual, making them a separate consideration from changes aimed at everyday riding comfort.
