Accessories for the Aprilia Dorsoduro 900

The Aprilia Dorsoduro 900 brings a supermoto approach to road riding, with an emphasis on enjoying bends rather than covering motorway miles. It can also serve for everyday journeys, so useful additions depend on how you split your riding between town and open roads. Contact points, crash protection and wind protection are sensible priorities before turning to cosmetic changes.

What riders usually fit to the Aprilia Dorsoduro 900

• Levers: brake and clutch operation matter on a bike used for twisty roads, where your hands are regularly working the controls. For commuting, repeated clutch use makes lever shape and reach worth considering too, rather than choosing a replacement solely for its finish.
• Protectors and crash protection: these help limit damage to the areas they cover if the bike falls. On a Dorsoduro used throughout the week, their role extends beyond weekend rides: low-speed manoeuvres and parking in town are also reasons to prioritise protection.
• Footpegs: your feet provide an important point of support when riding through a succession of bends. The contact surface under your boots and your foot position deserve attention, particularly when a short ride turns into a longer afternoon on winding roads.
• Screens: added wind protection is useful if reaching your favourite roads involves a stretch of dual carriageway or motorway. For this road-going supermoto, a screen is about making those connecting miles less tiring, rather than turning the bike into a touring machine.
• Number plate holders: these change how the plate sits within the bike’s rear-end appearance. They suit riders looking for a cleaner visual finish in keeping with the supermoto style, without changing the controls or the points where you make contact with the bike.

For a town-focused Dorsoduro, give controls and protection priority. If faster connecting roads take up a sizeable part of each outing, wind protection becomes a more useful addition than cosmetic detailing.
