Accessories for the Aprilia RS 457

The Aprilia RS 457 is a sports bike suited to everyday journeys, weekends on twisty roads and the occasional track day. Each use brings different priorities: wind protection matters on faster stretches, while reaching the controls and supporting your feet become more noticeable on a winding route. Choosing what to fit starts with how you ride, rather than appearance alone.

What riders usually fit to the Aprilia RS 457

• Screens: Faster road sections put wind protection higher on the list, especially when your favourite bends are some distance from home. A screen helps manage airflow around your upper body, so consider how you sit on the RS 457: more upright during everyday riding or tucked in.
• Protectors and crash protection: These aim to limit damage from a fall or impact. They are relevant to an RS 457 used for daily trips, with regular parking and low-speed manoeuvres, as well as one that occasionally heads out on track.
• Levers: Reach and lever shape influence how your fingers operate the brake and clutch. Stop-start journeys mean repeated use of both, while winding roads make a comfortable transition from throttle to brake particularly important, taking your riding gloves into account.
• Footpegs: Your feet provide support as you move your body through a sequence of bends. For an RS 457 that covers both commuting and weekend rides, foot support needs to be considered alongside how tightly your legs are bent over longer distances.
• Number plate holders: These offer a way to change the appearance of the rear, a visually prominent part of the RS 457’s sporting outline. This is primarily a styling choice, rather than an upgrade aimed at wind protection or your riding position.
