Accessories for the Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille

The Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille is a sports bike suited to winding roads and track days. Those two uses put wind protection, control at the levers and protection for exposed parts high on the list. A road-focused Mille will not necessarily need the same accessories as one that spends most of its riding time on a circuit.

What riders usually fit to the Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille

• Screens: help redirect airflow around the rider. On the Mille, wind protection matters both when tucked in on track and when sitting a little taller on the road, so your usual riding position is a useful starting point.
• Protectors and crash protection: can help limit damage from scrapes and some falls. A faired sports bike has exposed bodywork to consider, whether the risk comes from a low-speed manoeuvre or a slide during a track session; protection cannot prevent every kind of damage.
• Fasteners: replace worn or missing fixings and keep the bike looking tidy. For a Mille used on both road and track, removing panels for maintenance makes looking after the fastening points particularly worthwhile when putting everything back together.
• Levers: let you renew the brake and clutch controls, key contact points during a spirited ride. Comfortable operation is especially relevant when a stretch of twisting road or a circuit session involves repeated braking and gear changes.
• Stands and side stands: support the bike when parked or during maintenance, depending on the item. For an RSV that sees track use, a suitable maintenance stand can make preparation and work between track days easier to manage.

For regular road riding, give wind protection and the controls priority. If track days dominate, put more emphasis on crash protection and the equipment you need for maintenance.
