Accessories for the Aprilia RXV 550

The Aprilia RXV 550 is an enduro bike built for riding away from tarmac. On tracks and trails, you may go from an open stretch to a tight turn or uneven ground in a matter of moments. That makes braking and the way you hold and steer the bike particularly relevant when deciding what to fit. Road-touring equipment is less central to this kind of riding than the parts you rely on to stay in control.

What riders usually fit to the Aprilia RXV 550

The accessories available for this model address different moments in its use, from riding on loose ground to leaving it parked between outings:

• Brakes: on an enduro ride, you might need to slow down sharply before a bend, then make a gentler adjustment through a tricky section. Brake components are worth considering in terms of the response you want on those changing surfaces. Braking is among the accessory brands represented for the RXV 550.
• Handlebars: the way you hold the bars matters when you switch between sitting down and standing up to deal with rougher ground. Accessories in this area relate to your contact with the bike and how you guide it through repeated changes of direction. That is especially pertinent when a trail demands small, frequent steering corrections rather than a steady line.
• Covers and blankets: an enduro bike may spend time parked between days out on the trails. A cover gives you a way to keep the RXV 550 covered while it is not being ridden, particularly if dust gathers where you store it. Its role is different from the riding-focused parts above: it is useful between outings, not while tackling a track.

For rides that mix faster tracks with slow, awkward sections, start with what you feel from the saddle or while standing: braking and control at the bars. Think about a cover separately, for the time the bike spends off the trail.
