Accessories for the Aprilia Scarabeo 100

The Aprilia Scarabeo 100 is a scooter suited to getting around town and making everyday journeys. Traffic lights, junctions and repeated stops make braking a regular part of those rides, while more open stretches can leave you exposed to the wind. That is why accessories for this model are best considered in the context of where you ride it: through busy streets, across town or along roads with fewer stops.

What riders usually fit to the Aprilia Scarabeo 100

For this scooter, the available choices focus on two quite different parts of the journey. Braking accessories concern the repeated slowing and stopping of urban riding; screens address the airflow you meet once you are moving. Neither changes what the Scarabeo 100 is used for, but each can matter on a familiar daily route.

• Brakes: riding through town means easing off for crossings, stopping at lights and adjusting speed as traffic changes. Brake-related parts are therefore particularly relevant when work on the scooter's braking system is due. On a Scarabeo 100 used mostly for short urban trips, this is a part of the bike you rely on repeatedly rather than only at the end of a ride.
• Screens: a screen can deflect some of the air reaching you as you ride the Scarabeo 100. It is worth thinking about if your usual route includes long avenues or more open roads, where you spend more time moving between stops. It can also make a difference to how exposed you feel on cooler days, without shifting the scooter's focus away from practical everyday travel.

Town riding rarely consists of just one kind of road. On a route that combines busy junctions with clearer stretches, these two accessory types address different moments of the same trip: slowing down often and spending time in the airflow.
