Accessories for the Aprilia Scarabeo 125

The Aprilia Scarabeo 125 is a scooter well suited to everyday journeys, from commuting to crossing town for errands. That pattern of use shapes what is worth fitting. Think about where you park, whether the scooter spends time outside and how much wind you face on the road. Accessories that make those familiar journeys easier are likely to matter more than equipment intended for long-distance touring.

What riders usually fit to the Aprilia Scarabeo 125

For a scooter used regularly around town, parking security and protection from the weather are sensible places to start. The following accessory types address different parts of that routine:

• Security locks: a useful addition if your Scarabeo 125 is parked on the street during the working day or left outside while you run errands. Options from brands such as Artago and Urban give you a way to secure it during those repeated stops.
• Covers and leg covers: a cover helps protect the scooter while it is parked outdoors. A leg cover addresses a different moment: the ride itself, when cold air can become uncomfortable on a regular commute, even if each individual trip is fairly short.
• Screens: a screen can take some of the wind off you when your route moves from slower city streets onto faster roads. If you make the same journey day after day, reducing that exposure can make the ride feel less tiring.
• Handlebar parts: these are worth considering if the position of your hands matters to you on frequent urban rides. Steering through traffic, turning into side streets and manoeuvring into a parking space all put the handlebar at the centre of how you use this scooter.

For a Scarabeo 125 from 2007 to 2011, let your usual week guide the choice. Regular outdoor parking, winter journeys and windier routes each point towards a different kind of accessory.
