Accessories for the Aprilia Scarabeo 400 Light

The Aprilia Scarabeo 400 Light is a scooter suited to getting around town as well as journeys that continue beyond the city. Those trips can involve frequent stops, stretches of open road and time parked outside. The accessories worth considering therefore depend on what your riding day looks like: a part that matters in moving traffic serves a different purpose from one that helps when the scooter is standing still.

What riders usually fit to the Aprilia Scarabeo 400 Light

Rather than treating every journey alike, think about where you spend most of your time on this scooter. The following categories address the practical demands of town riding, longer stretches on the road and everyday parking.

• Brakes: junctions, lights and changing traffic call for repeated braking in town. Parts in this category focus on an area you rely on throughout those stop-start journeys, not just when you head out onto faster roads.
• Screens: once a ride takes you beyond the built-up streets, wind exposure becomes more noticeable. A screen can help shelter you from the airflow, particularly if your usual route includes sustained stretches on the road.
• Covers and leg covers: parking outdoors and riding through colder months bring different needs. Depending on the item, this category can help protect your parked Scarabeo or give you more shelter while travelling across town.
• Handlebars: you use this contact point every time you steer through narrow streets or manoeuvre into a parking space. Accessories for this area are relevant when those everyday movements matter more to you than extra protection from the weather.

Braking, Tucano Urbano and Givi are among the accessory brands available for this model. Whether most of your mileage is urban or out on the road is a useful way to decide which area to address first.
