Accessories for the Aprilia Scarabeo 50

The Aprilia Scarabeo 50 is a scooter suited to everyday town riding, where short journeys, frequent stops and low-speed manoeuvres are part of the routine. That makes the purpose of each accessory worth considering. Something that shields you from the wind while riding meets a different need from something that protects the scooter when it is parked. Handlebar parts, meanwhile, relate to the area you use through every turn and stop.

What riders usually fit to the Aprilia Scarabeo 50

The accessories available for this model cover three useful areas. Think about where you ride and where the scooter spends its time between journeys:

• Screens: help deflect some of the air coming towards you. On a Scarabeo 50 used for trips that include more open roads as well as town streets, a screen can make the airflow against your upper body less noticeable. That extra shelter can matter on a chilly commute, even when you are not travelling far.
• Covers and leg covers: serve different purposes, depending on the item. A cover is relevant when the Scarabeo 50 is left parked outdoors, while a leg cover is about keeping the rider more sheltered during a journey. Your parking arrangements and the weather you ride in will point towards the more useful kind of protection.
• Handlebar parts: relate to a part of the scooter you rely on for tight turns, parking and other slow manoeuvres. They are worth looking at when your focus is the riding position and how your arms feel through the repeated steering movements of urban trips.

If your regular route includes stretches exposed to the wind, start by considering a screen. If the scooter spends much of the day parked outside, look instead at the protection offered by the covers and leg covers category. The useful choice is the one that addresses how you actually use your Scarabeo 50.
