Accessories for the Aprilia Scarabeo 500 Light

The Aprilia Scarabeo 500 Light is a scooter suited to urban travel as well as journeys beyond the city. That mix of riding brings different priorities: somewhere to leave the bike during a stop, protection from the weather and a more comfortable ride when the road opens up. The most useful accessories are the ones that address the journeys you actually make.

What riders usually fit to the Aprilia Scarabeo 500 Light

For a scooter that can spend part of the day parked and the rest moving between town streets and faster roads, these accessory types are worth considering:

• Security locks: frequent stops give you plenty of occasions to secure the scooter while you are away from it. A lock is especially relevant if your daily route includes parking outside work, shops or other places you visit regularly.
• Screens: a screen helps divert airflow on longer stretches, where wind becomes more noticeable than it is around town. It is a useful consideration if you ride the Scarabeo 500 Light beyond short urban trips.
• Covers and leg covers: riding through the colder months and leaving the scooter outdoors call for different kinds of weather protection. Depending on the accessory, this category addresses either the time you spend on the bike or the time it spends parked.
• Handlebars: your hand position matters when you spend a lot of time steering through traffic and negotiating roundabouts. Accessories in this category let you consider that contact point in the context of your usual riding posture.
• Exhausts: an exhaust can change the look or sound of the Scarabeo 500 Light. It suits riders who want to make the scooter feel more their own, rather than those focusing first on security or shelter from the weather.

If your week combines short errands with trips out of town, it makes sense to think about both a lock for the stops and a screen for the miles in between. Your parking arrangements and the seasons you ride through can guide the other choices.
