Accessories for APRILIA SHIVER 900

Accessories for the Aprilia Shiver 900

The Aprilia Shiver 900 is a naked bike suited to everyday riding and days out on winding roads. Those two uses call for different priorities when choosing accessories. Commuting puts the focus on protection and comfortable controls, while longer road rides bring wind exposure and riding position into sharper focus. A useful setup starts with the journeys you actually make, rather than changing everything at once.

What riders usually fit to the Aprilia Shiver 900

• Screens: a screen helps redirect some of the airflow away from your upper body on faster stretches. For a Shiver rider, that is particularly useful on motorway links to favourite riding roads, or when a short Sunday outing becomes a longer day in the saddle.
• Protectors and crash protection: these aim to limit damage to the areas they cover in a fall. They are worth considering for a daily-use Shiver that regularly needs wheeling into parking spaces or manoeuvring at walking pace during the commute.
• Levers: frequent clutch and brake use makes these important contact points in stop-start traffic. Changing the levers is a way to personalise how your hands interact with the controls, especially when the same bike handles weekday commuting and weekend rides through bends.
• Footpegs: foot support matters when linking corners, but it also contributes to your seated position over a longer ride. On a Shiver used for weekend outings, the pegs deserve attention alongside hand position when thinking about how you sit on the bike.
• Number plate holders: an option for riders looking for a tidier appearance around the rear of this naked bike. Their role is primarily visual, making them a different priority from accessories intended to address wind exposure or riding comfort.

For mixed commuting and leisure use, start with what you notice most on the move: airflow, the feel of the controls or the support beneath your feet.
