Accessories for the Aprilia SR GT 200

The Aprilia SR GT 200 is a scooter suited to everyday travel around town, with room in its routine for journeys beyond the city. Stop-start traffic, tight parking spaces and faster stretches of road place different demands on what you fit. Some accessories make it easier to carry daily essentials; others are more useful when you spend longer riding at a steady pace.

What riders usually fit to the Aprilia SR GT 200

• Protectors: frequent parking and low-speed manoeuvres can expose parts of a scooter to everyday knocks and scuffs. Protection pieces are worth considering when the SR GT 200 spends much of its time weaving through busy streets and being parked between trips.
• Phone mounts: useful when a familiar commute gives way to an unfamiliar address. A mount keeps navigation in view as you cross town, so there is no need to retrieve your phone each time you need to check where to turn.
• Screens: a worthwhile consideration if your journey includes ring roads or open stretches as well as city streets. A suitable screen can take some wind off your chest, which matters more on longer, uninterrupted rides than on short trips between junctions.
• Handlebar accessories: the riding position comes into focus when your day involves repeated stops, turns and parking manoeuvres. Accessories fitted around the bars offer ways to adapt the points you use most often while steering through that routine.
• Covers and leg covers: a cover is useful when the scooter is left parked for hours, while a leg cover is more relevant to riding through colder months. They address different parts of the same daily routine: leaving the bike and getting back on it.
• Luggage: carrying work clothes, personal items or a few things for a short trip is easier with dedicated storage. It is especially relevant if you use the SR GT 200 for errands as well as the journey to work.

If most of your riding is urban, consider what makes frequent stops and parking easier. For journeys that regularly take you out of town, wind protection and space for your belongings become more useful.
