Accessories for the Aprilia SR Motard 50 2T E3

The Aprilia SR Motard 50 2T E3 is a scooter suited to getting around town, whether that means commuting, running errands or making several short trips in a day. That pattern of use shapes which accessories make sense. Protection for a scooter that is regularly parked, a way to keep directions in view and something to secure it during stops may be more useful than equipment intended for long-distance touring. Riding through the colder months brings another consideration: comfort on the everyday journey.

What riders usually fit to the Aprilia SR Motard 50 2T E3

• Protectors: useful when your scooter spends its days among parked bikes, kerbs and tight urban spaces. They help look after exposed areas against the minor knocks and scuffs that can happen while manoeuvring or parking.
• Phone mounts: keep directions where you can see them when travelling across unfamiliar parts of town. They are particularly handy if your route changes from one errand to the next and you would otherwise need to check your phone at every stop.
• Security locks: worth considering if you leave the Aprilia parked outside work, a classroom or a shop. Options from Artago or Urban suit the stop-start routine of a scooter used for daily travel.
• Covers and leg covers: a cover is useful when the scooter spends time parked outdoors, while a leg cover can make cold urban rides more comfortable. Both address the realities of using the bike beyond the warmer months.

For an Aprilia SR Motard 50 2T E3 from 2012 to 2014, start with the journeys you actually make. Where you park, how often you stop and whether you ride in cold weather will help you decide which of these accessories will earn its place in your daily routine.
