Accessories for the Aprilia SR50R

The Aprilia SR50R is a scooter well suited to getting around town and making everyday journeys. That sort of riding puts different demands on accessories from a long-distance trip: frequent parking makes protection worth considering, while a longer commute may make shelter from the wind more useful. It is also a bike on which a clear view of your route can matter when you are heading to an unfamiliar address. The right additions depend on where you ride your SR50R most often, not simply on how far you travel.

What riders usually fit to the Aprilia SR50R

• Protectors: Squeezing into parking spaces and manoeuvring in busy streets are familiar parts of scooter use. Protectors can help look after the areas they are made to cover when the SR50R is regularly parked outside or moved in tight spaces. They are a practical choice for the small knocks and scrapes associated with daily use, rather than an addition intended to change the way the scooter rides.
• Screens: A screen is worth considering if your journey takes you from local streets onto faster urban roads or out of town. Reducing direct exposure to the airflow can make those stretches more comfortable, especially when they form part of a regular commute. For short trips with lots of stops, its role is different from that on a longer, more open route.
• Phone mounts: Navigation is particularly handy when the SR50R takes you between changing destinations around town. A mount gives your phone a visible position for following directions without having to stop at every unfamiliar junction to check the route. It suits the scooter’s everyday role, whether you are running errands or finding your way across a part of the city you rarely visit.

These accessories are listed here for the Aprilia SR50R from 2005 to 2020, with Puig among the accessory brands. Think about the journeys you make most: repeated short hops and a daily ride on more open roads place the emphasis on different additions.
