Accessories for the Aprilia Tuareg 660 Rally

The Aprilia Tuareg 660 Rally is an adventure bike for rides that mix tarmac with trails. That balance gives accessories a clear purpose: supporting a standing riding position, adding protection for low-speed spills and carrying luggage without leaving it all on your back. Longer road stretches also make wind protection worth considering.

What riders usually fit to the Aprilia Tuareg 660 Rally

• Footpegs: your footing becomes particularly important when riding trails standing up. Footpegs help you tailor the contact between boots and bike for a riding style that involves sitting down on road sections and getting up on the pegs once you head off the tarmac.
• Handlebars: hand position needs to work when seated and standing. On a Tuareg used for trail riding, the bar choice should account for reaching the controls in both positions, rather than being based solely on comfort during the road miles between tracks.
• Screens: a screen helps manage wind exposure on longer road stretches. For mixed riding, the useful balance is between shelter on the tarmac and a clear view of the ground ahead when the route takes you back onto trails.
• Crash bars and protection: slow manoeuvres and losing your footing on a track can lead to a low-speed spill. These accessories help limit damage to the areas they cover, making them particularly relevant when unpaved sections are a regular part of your riding.
• Luggage: multi-day trips call for somewhere to carry clothing and essentials without keeping everything in a backpack. If trails feature in the itinerary, keeping the load compact and distributing it carefully also matters during slower, more awkward sections.

For predominantly trail-based riding, start with riding position and protection. If your trips involve long stretches of tarmac, give more attention to wind coverage and how you carry your luggage.
