Accessories for the Benelli 491 RR

The Benelli 491 RR is a sporty scooter well suited to getting around town. Frequent stops, low-speed manoeuvres and short journeys shape what is useful on a bike like this. Rather than thinking first about long-distance touring kit, it makes sense to consider how the scooter feels under braking, how it handles in everyday traffic and what happens when it is parked between rides.

What riders usually fit to the Benelli 491 RR

• Brakes: urban riding brings repeated changes of pace, from slowing for a junction to stopping at a set of lights. Brake parts are therefore worth particular attention on the 491 RR, where a predictable response can make the stop-start nature of a town journey feel easier to manage.
• Covers and leg covers: if the scooter spends time parked between journeys, this category is relevant to everyday use. Depending on the item, it can help shield the bike while it is not being ridden or make colder rides more comfortable. Both situations are familiar when a scooter is part of a regular routine.
• Handlebars: your hands guide the 491 RR through tight turns, parking manoeuvres and the small steering corrections of busy streets. Paying attention to this area makes sense if much of your riding involves threading through town rather than settling into one position for a long stretch of open road.

Think about the moments that recur on your usual route: braking before a crossing, turning into a narrow space or returning to the scooter after it has been parked. Those everyday situations offer a better guide to useful accessories than an occasional journey that asks something quite different of the bike.
