Accessories for the Benelli Leoncino 500 Trail

The Benelli Leoncino 500 Trail brings scrambler character to everyday journeys and weekend rides on quieter roads. The right additions depend on how you divide your time between the two. Town use puts the emphasis on protection and a clear rearward view, while longer road outings make wind protection and somewhere to carry your belongings more relevant.

What riders usually fit to the Benelli Leoncino 500 Trail

• Windscreens: A screen helps manage airflow towards your upper body when a ride extends beyond town. For a Leoncino used on country roads with stretches of dual carriageway between them, it is a practical addition to consider before planning longer days in the saddle.
• Protectors, crash bobbins and crash bars: These help limit damage from a stationary drop or a low-speed fall. They are particularly relevant to daily use, when getting the Leoncino out of a parking space or turning it in a confined area can involve more awkward manoeuvring than the ride itself.
• Luggage: Cases give you room for clothing and other essentials on a weekend away, rather than leaving everything in a rucksack. They also suit a Leoncino that doubles as weekday transport, letting you carry belongings to work without keeping a bag on your back throughout the journey.
• Mirrors: Rearward visibility matters in urban traffic and when moving between lanes on faster roads. If your Leoncino serves as both a commuter and a weekend scrambler, a useful view from your normal riding position deserves as much attention as how the mirrors complement its looks.

For predominantly urban riding, protection and mirrors make a sensible starting point. As road mileage grows, a windscreen and luggage become more useful parts of the set-up.
