Accessories for the Benelli Leoncino 800 Trail

The Benelli Leoncino 800 Trail brings a scrambler approach to everyday riding and weekends on winding country roads. Those two uses put the emphasis on riding position, comfortable controls and protection during low-speed manoeuvres. Rather than treating every addition as a styling change, start with the places where you meet the bike: the bars, levers and footpegs.

What riders usually fit to the Benelli Leoncino 800 Trail

• Levers: stop-start commuting means frequent clutch and brake use. Lever shape and reach are worth considering on a Leoncino that handles weekday traffic as well as longer outings, when keeping your hands comfortable becomes just as relevant.
• Footpegs: a secure footing matters when linking bends on country roads, while the position of your legs becomes more noticeable over a full afternoon. Footpegs are therefore part of setting up this scrambler's riding position, not simply a cosmetic detail.
• Handlebars: your choice of bars affects the position of your arms and upper body. For a mix of town manoeuvres and open-road riding, aim for a natural reach that avoids stretching your arms or putting unnecessary pressure on your wrists.
• Crash protection: crash bungs and bars can help limit damage to the areas they cover in a stationary drop or low-speed fall. They are a practical consideration for a daily-used Leoncino, particularly when parking and turning in confined spaces.
• Phone mounts: keeping navigation directions visible is useful when exploring unfamiliar back roads. Position the mount so it does not obscure the instruments or restrict handlebar movement, and set your destination before you start riding.

For overnight trips, luggage cases let you carry your belongings without relying on a rucksack. If most of your mileage is around town, riding position and protection against minor mishaps are sensible priorities.
