Accessories for the Benelli TRK 502 X

The Benelli TRK 502 X is an adventure bike suited to everyday journeys, road touring and routes that take in the occasional trail. That mix of riding gives accessories a clear purpose: managing wind exposure on longer road sections, carrying what you need for nights away and adding protection when you venture off the tarmac. Your usual balance of commuting and travelling helps decide where to start.

What riders usually fit to the Benelli TRK 502 X

• Windscreens: useful for touring days that include lengthy stretches on faster roads, where sustained wind pressure becomes more noticeable. Screen height and shape affect how air reaches your helmet and upper body, so the coverage needs to make sense from your normal riding position on the TRK.
• Crash bars: help protect against certain impacts if the bike tips over while stationary or at low speed. They are worth considering for a TRK 502 X used on trails, as well as for the slow manoeuvres and roadside stops that come with travelling with luggage.
• Luggage: gives clothing and overnight essentials a place on the bike rather than on your back. For a Benelli that handles both the commute and weekend trips, it serves two different routines: carrying everyday belongings during the week and packing for several days away when you head further afield.
• Phone mounts: provide a way to position your phone for navigation on unfamiliar routes. They are particularly useful when a touring day involves a network of minor roads or finding your accommodation after the main ride, rather than keeping the phone tucked away inside your luggage.

When travelling with a pillion, leave room for their comfort as well as your bags. A setup that suits everyday riding need not carry all the luggage you would fit for a longer holiday.
