Accessories for BETA X-TRAINER

Accessories for the Beta X-Trainer

The Beta X-Trainer is an enduro bike made for riding away from tarmac, including trails where progress can be slow and deliberate. That changes what is worth fitting: contact with stones, branches or the ground is more likely to shape your choices than wind protection or luggage. The way you use the controls matters, too, particularly when you are standing on the pegs or picking a line through a tight section. Accessories for this bike are best considered in the context of the ground you actually ride.

What riders usually fit to the Beta X-Trainer

The accessories available here focus on two practical aspects of off-road riding. They address different moments on a trail, from brushing past an obstacle to working the controls at low speed:

• Protectors: narrow tracks and uneven ground can bring the bike into contact with branches, stones or the edge of a rut. Protectors help shield the areas they are designed to cover from those knocks and scrapes. They are particularly relevant if your rides include technical sections where you might dab a foot or put the bike down at low speed. They cannot prevent every mark or impact, but they help you prepare the X-Trainer for the realities of trail riding.
• Levers: braking and clutch control need attention when you are threading the bike between obstacles or adjusting your pace on loose ground. Because your hands return to the levers throughout a ride, their shape and feel can affect how naturally you use those controls. Levers are also exposed if the bike tips over, which makes them worth thinking about before a ride that involves awkward turns and frequent low-speed manoeuvres.

A gentle trail and a demanding enduro route place different demands on the same bike. Consider whether protection from contact or the feel of the controls would make the bigger difference to the riding you do most often.
