Accessories for the BMW F 700 GS

The BMW F 700 GS suits riders who mix everyday journeys with road trips and occasional easy trails. Choosing accessories is about balancing those jobs rather than preparing it for just one kind of ride. Wind protection becomes more important on longer road stretches, luggage makes weekends away easier, and riding position deserves attention when your route takes you off the tarmac.

What riders usually fit to the BMW F 700 GS

• Windscreens: useful for motorway miles on the way to quieter, winding roads. A screen helps direct airflow away from your upper body, while its height matters when balancing weather protection with a clear view of the track ahead.
• Panniers: carrying clothes and overnight essentials on the bike keeps them off your back during a touring day. If your F 700 GS also handles the commute, consider the extra width of luggage when planning your everyday setup.
• Protectors and crash bars: worth considering for gentle trail riding or low-speed manoeuvres with luggage aboard. They help limit damage to the areas they cover in a knock or minor fall, rather than removing the risk of damage altogether.
• Footpegs: provide the connection between your boots and the bike, whether you are seated for a long road section or standing on a trail. A supportive platform and grip matter when switching between those two riding positions.
• Handlebars: affect your reach and upper-body position. On a bike used for both touring and easy tracks, the aim is a relaxed seated stance without making you bend too far forward when you stand up to ride.

Let your regular routes set the priorities: wind protection for longer road journeys, luggage for nights away, or support and riding position for more time on trails.
