Accessories for the BMW F 750 GS

The BMW F 750 GS is a road-focused adventure bike suited to daily commuting, weekend rides and longer touring trips. That mix of uses shapes what is worth fitting: luggage matters when you head away, while wind protection and comfortable contact points become more important as the miles add up. Protection is also worth considering for low-speed manoeuvres with the bike loaded.

What riders usually fit to the BMW F 750 GS

• Screens: motorway stretches and long days on the road make wind protection a useful priority. A screen can reduce wind pressure on your upper body; on the F 750 GS, the aim is to balance coverage with a clear view ahead from your normal riding position.
• Panniers: dedicated luggage space lets you carry clothing and touring essentials without keeping everything in a rucksack. For trips with a pillion, it also makes organising two people's belongings easier, while weekday riders can use that space for the things they take to work.
• Protectors and crash bars: useful for riders who mix road miles with gentle trails, these also have a role during parking manoeuvres with luggage aboard. They help limit damage to the areas they cover if the bike goes over at low speed.
• Footrests: a comfortable foothold matters over a full day's riding. If your routes include easy trails and you switch between sitting and standing, the supporting surface also affects how you position yourself and move around on the bike.
• Levers: frequent clutch and brake use on the commute puts the focus on reach and feel at the handlebars. For an F 750 GS used both around town and on winding country roads, these contact points deserve attention alongside the more obvious touring additions.
