Accessories for the BMW F 800 ST

The BMW F 800 ST is a sports tourer suited to weekend road trips as well as everyday journeys. Choosing accessories for it means balancing long-distance comfort with the practical demands of regular riding, rather than treating every outing as a touring holiday. Your usual roads help set the priorities: motorway miles put wind protection in focus, while overnight stops and travelling with a pillion make luggage more useful.

What riders usually fit to the BMW F 800 ST

• Screens: wind protection becomes particularly valuable on the motorway stretches between home and your favourite winding roads. A screen helps manage airflow around the rider, so its coverage needs to make sense for your height and the riding position you hold over longer distances.
• Protectors: daily parking and low-speed manoeuvres with holiday luggage both give protection a practical role on the F 800 ST. These accessories can help limit damage to the areas they cover in a fall, although they cannot prevent every scrape or broken part.
• Luggage: cases give clothing and travel essentials a place on the bike instead of leaving you wearing a backpack all day. That matters on longer touring rides, especially when packing for two or turning a short solo outing into a weekend away.
• Levers: frequent control inputs in town and hours spent riding country roads place different demands on your hands. Lever shape and reach influence how your fingers meet the controls, making a comfortable hand position a worthwhile consideration for the F 800 ST's mixed everyday and touring use.

Occasional holiday luggage and everyday wind protection need not have equal priority. If most of your mileage involves faster roads, address airflow before planning how to pack for an annual trip.
