Accessories for the BMW F 800 GT

The BMW F 800 GT is a sports tourer suited to winding-road weekends, longer trips and everyday journeys. Each use puts the emphasis somewhere different: motorway miles call for wind protection, while touring with a pillion makes luggage space more important. The most useful additions support the way you cover those miles, whether that means improving comfort over a full day or preparing the bike for regular stops around town.

What riders usually fit to the BMW F 800 GT

• Screens: worth prioritising if your trips involve long motorway stretches. A screen helps manage airflow towards your upper body, so its height in relation to your normal riding position matters more for touring comfort than appearance alone.
• Protectors: help limit the effects of minor knocks or drops. For an F 800 GT used both on holiday and during the working week, protection is relevant to low-speed manoeuvres, urban parking and the frequent stops that come with travelling.
• Footrests and handlebars: address two key contact points during long days in the saddle. Accessories in these areas let you focus on how your feet and hands are positioned, with road-going comfort taking precedence over a purely sporty riding stance.
• Luggage: provides space for clothing and other touring essentials. It becomes particularly useful on two-up weekends away, when you need to carry belongings for both riders without using the pillion seat as storage.
• Phone mounts: give your navigation device a place on the bike when following unfamiliar roads. For touring on the F 800 GT, they help organise the riding area; set your destination and route before moving off.

Choosing parts for 2013-2017 and 2018 models

The BMW F 800 GT has changed over the years, so parts for the 2013-2017 versions do not necessarily fit the 2018 version, or vice versa. Choose your bike’s year on this page to see only the accessories that fit yours.
