Accessories for the BMW F 900 R

The BMW F 900 R is a naked bike suited to everyday journeys and days out on winding roads. How you divide your riding between the two helps decide what to fit. Motorway stretches put wind protection higher on the list, while commuting brings protection, luggage and comfort at the controls into focus.

What riders usually fit to the BMW F 900 R

• Screens: Worth considering if reaching your favourite roads involves a long stretch of dual carriageway or motorway. A screen redirects some of the airflow reaching your body, making wind protection a useful addition to this naked bike for longer journeys.
• Protectors: Daily use means parking, tight manoeuvres and plenty of low-speed riding. Protectors help limit damage to the areas they cover in a scrape or fall, making them a practical choice for an F 900 R used around town.
• Levers: Frequent clutch and brake use in traffic makes the way your fingers rest on the levers particularly relevant. Their shape affects that contact, which also matters when you want measured inputs on a winding country road.
• Panniers and cases: Give the F 900 R a more useful role beyond leisure rides, with room for commuting essentials or belongings for a weekend away. Carrying luggage on the bike also means you need not rely on a rucksack throughout the journey.
• Number plate holders: An option for changing the finish around the rear of the bike while emphasising its naked styling. This is a visual choice rather than an addition aimed at improving comfort over longer distances.

Choosing parts for your F 900 R's year

The F 900 R has changed over the years, and parts for the 2020-2024 and 2025-2026 versions are not all interchangeable. Screens, protectors and footrests are examples where the version matters. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit your F 900 R.
