Accessories for the BMW F 900 XR

The BMW F 900 XR brings a sporty approach to road touring, making it a natural choice for winding weekend routes as well as longer trips and everyday journeys. How you divide your riding between those uses should guide your accessories: wind protection and luggage matter on tour, while ergonomics and protection earn their place on the daily commute.

What riders usually fit to the BMW F 900 XR

• Screens: help redirect airflow on motorway links and longer stretches of open road. For an F 900 XR rider, they make particular sense when reaching your favourite twisty roads involves a lengthy journey, or when a weekend ride becomes a multi-day tour.
• Luggage: gives you room for clothing and essentials when exploring the XR's touring side. Travelling with a pillion means packing for two, so dedicated luggage space can be more practical than relying on a rucksack throughout the trip.
• Protectors, crash bungs and crash bars: can help limit damage to the areas they cover in a low-speed fall. They are worth considering for an XR used in town and on loaded touring trips, where parking manoeuvres and frequent stops are part of the ride.
• Footrests: provide support when linking bends and holding your riding position over longer distances. On the F 900 XR, they are worth considering as part of your riding ergonomics, particularly the relationship between foot placement and leg position during a full day on the road.
• Phone mounts: hold your phone when using it for navigation on unfamiliar routes. For road touring, having directions in view is useful when following a planned itinerary, without needing to pack the device away between stops.

Choosing accessories for your F 900 XR's year

The F 900 XR has changed over the years, so the 2020-2024 and 2025-2026 versions do not always take the same parts. Phone mounts, protectors and stands are key examples of accessories that differ. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit your version.
