Accessories for the BMW R nineT

The BMW R nineT pairs classic roadster styling with the everyday appeal of a naked bike. It suits city journeys as well as weekend runs along winding roads, so the most useful additions depend on where you spend your riding time. Personalising its appearance and making longer rides more comfortable are different goals, and need not involve the same parts.

What riders usually fit to the BMW R nineT

• Screens: worth considering when your rides regularly take you beyond town. A screen helps ease wind pressure on your upper body during open-road stretches, balancing extra shelter with the uncluttered look that suits this classic-styled naked.
• Protectors: a practical addition for an R nineT used on busy streets, where parking and low-speed manoeuvres are part of every journey. They help limit damage to the areas they cover if the bike falls, rather than making it damage-proof.
• Levers and handlebars: useful when refining your riding position rather than simply changing the bike's appearance. For a mix of urban traffic and winding roads, comfortable hand placement and a suitable reach to the controls deserve attention.
• Mirrors: influence both the R nineT's outline and your view of surrounding traffic. If you are building a cleaner-looking city roadster, keeping a useful rearward view matters just as much as the visual effect.
• Number plate holders: suit riders concentrating on the rear-end styling of their R nineT. They offer another way to personalise its classic roadster appearance, rather than addressing wind exposure or comfort on longer journeys.

Choose parts for your R nineT's year

The R nineT has changed over the years, with versions covering 2014, 2015-2016, 2017-2020 and 2021-2024. Parts such as levers, suspension components and protectors therefore do not necessarily fit every version. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit yours.
