Accessories for the BMW R nineT Urban G/S

The BMW R nineT Urban G/S pairs classic adventure-bike styling with everyday road riding. Commuting through town and heading out for a weekend ride place different demands on your accessories: protection matters during slow manoeuvres, while wind coverage and riding position become more noticeable on longer stretches. The aim is to support the way you ride without losing the bike’s retro character.

What riders usually fit to the BMW R nineT Urban G/S

• Screens: help take some wind pressure off your upper body on open roads. A screen makes particular sense if your Urban G/S spends more time on weekend routes and longer journeys than short trips around town.
• Protectors, crash bungs and crash bars: add protection against scuffs and low-speed mishaps when manoeuvring or parking. For an Urban G/S used every day in town, they address a practical concern before attention turns to cosmetic changes.
• Levers and handlebars: help tailor the position of your hands and arms. Easy operation of the controls matters in stop-start traffic, while a comfortable reach becomes increasingly important when a quick ride turns into an afternoon on country roads.
• Footrests: give your feet their support during longer road rides and help shape your overall riding position. On the Urban G/S, they are worth considering alongside the handlebars when refining how you sit and move through bends.
• Number plate holders: offer a way to tidy up the rear of the bike. They suit a styling-led approach to the Urban G/S, keeping attention on its classic lines rather than adding equipment for long-distance travel.

Choosing parts for the 2017-2020 and 2021-2024 versions

The R nineT Urban G/S has changed over the years, so the 2017-2020 and 2021-2024 versions do not share every accessory. Screens and suspension components are two examples of parts that do not fit every year. Choose your bike’s year on this page to see only the accessories that fit yours.
