Accessories for the BMW R1200 C

The BMW R1200 C is a cruiser made for taking your time on the road. Its riding position and distinctive appearance make the choice of accessories rather different from that of a sports bike or a daily commuter. On this bike, it makes sense to focus on exposed areas, what happens when you stop and the details you see throughout a ride. The right starting point is how you actually use your R1200 C.

What riders usually fit to the BMW R1200 C

• Mirrors: they are a visible part of the R1200 C’s outline, so changing them can alter its look without losing sight of their practical job. A clear view behind matters when a relaxed country ride takes you through a busy town.
• Protection: protectors can help look after exposed parts of the bike against minor knocks and scuffs. They are worth considering if your rides involve frequent stops and slow manoeuvres, rather than uninterrupted miles on open roads.
• Stands and side stands: stopping is part of the pleasure of a leisurely ride, whether you are taking a break or parking up at your destination. Think about where you usually leave the bike and how it rests when you step away.
• Covers: a cover is useful when the R1200 C is parked between outings, particularly if your rides are occasional rather than part of a daily routine. It gives you a practical way to look after the bike while you wait for your next trip.
• Handlebars: the position of your hands shapes how a cruiser feels over a longer journey. If you are considering a change, think about your usual riding posture and how it feels after an afternoon on the road.

Mudguards and filters are also among the accessories available for this BMW. Whether you want to look after it between rides or refine the parts you see and feel while riding, let your usual journeys guide the decision.
