Accessories for the CFMOTO 1000MT-X

For a CFMOTO 1000MT-X used on road trips and weekends away, useful accessories address wind exposure, luggage and riding position. Short solo outings call for different priorities from a few days away with a pillion and travel kit. Thinking about those journeys first helps you decide where a change will make a practical difference, rather than treating every accessory as an essential upgrade.

What riders usually fit to the CFMOTO 1000MT-X

• Screens: worth considering when a ride involves motorway links or long stretches on open roads. Screen height and shape affect the airflow reaching you. For longer journeys, weigh up wind protection alongside your ability to see clearly over the screen.
• Luggage cases: give clothing and overnight kit a place on the bike instead of keeping everything in a rucksack. When taking a pillion on the 1000MT-X, consider their space as well as packing capacity, and think about how you will distribute the load.
• Crash protection and bars: intended to help protect exposed areas during a stationary drop or low-speed fall. They are particularly relevant when travelling with luggage, where parking, turning in a confined space and manoeuvring outside accommodation become part of the daily routine.
• Levers: on twisting roads, repeated use of the controls makes finger placement worth attention. Lever shape and reach matter when tailoring the riding position to your hands, especially with the gloves you wear for longer days or cooler-weather journeys.
• Footrests: foot support deserves a place in your touring set-up, alongside luggage and wind protection. For longer rides on the 1000MT-X, consider footrest geometry in relation to knee position and access to the controls, rather than changing it independently of the rest of your riding position.
