Accessories for the CFMOTO 800MT-X

The CFMOTO 800MT-X is an adventure bike for rides that mix tarmac with trails. That balance matters when choosing accessories: a long road journey puts wind protection and luggage high on the list, while unpaved routes bring riding position and protection into focus. How much time you spend seated on the road, rather than standing on the pegs, helps shape a useful set-up.

What riders usually fit to the CFMOTO 800MT-X

• Luggage: cases give you somewhere to carry clothing and supplies on multi-day trips without keeping everything in a backpack. For journeys that include trails, think about how much you need to take and how you distribute it, rather than simply choosing the largest capacity.
• Screens: motorway miles on the way to quieter roads and trails make wind protection worthwhile. Your height and seated riding position help determine what suits you, but a screen should also leave you a clear view of the route when standing on the pegs.
• Guards and crash bars: loose surfaces and low-speed manoeuvring bring the risk of a topple into the picture. Protection can help limit damage to the areas it covers, making it a practical consideration when your 800MT-X regularly leaves the tarmac.
• Footrests: standing on the pegs through trail sections makes secure support under your boots particularly important. The contact area and grip deserve attention for this kind of riding, alongside how comfortable your feet feel when you sit down for the next road stretch.
• Handlebars: your hand position needs to work for both seated road miles and standing off-road. On a mixed-surface ride, the aim is to keep your arms relaxed on tarmac while being able to reach the controls without hunching over when you stand up.
