Accessories for the Ducati 1199 Panigale

The Ducati 1199 Panigale is a sports bike suited to winding roads and track days. Preparing yours for weekend road rides is not quite the same as setting it up for regular circuit sessions. Comfort at the controls, support through the footrests and protection from the wind all deserve attention, but the balance depends on where you spend your riding time.

What riders usually fit to the Ducati 1199 Panigale

• Levers: Shape and reach matter when braking and changing gear repeatedly on a twisty route or during a track session. Levers that suit your hands let you work the controls naturally from your riding position, rather than stretching your fingers to reach them.
• Footrests: These provide support as you shift your weight on the Panigale. For road rides, consider a foot position you can sustain throughout the outing; for circuit use, the relationship between your feet and your movement around the bike becomes particularly important.
• Protectors: Worth prioritising when track days are a regular part of your Ducati's workload. They can help reduce damage to the areas they cover in a fall, although no protector can prevent every consequence of a crash.
• Screens: Wind protection is relevant on the journey to your favourite roads as well as when tucking in on a circuit straight. The useful screen shape depends on your posture: road riding does not keep you tucked behind it throughout the day.
• Fasteners: Fixings deserve attention on a track-focused build, especially when parts are removed for maintenance between outings. They also offer a way to refine the bike's finish while retaining a practical purpose, rather than making appearance the sole focus of the work.

For a mainly track-day setup, establish comfortable contact points and prioritise protection before turning to cosmetic details.
