Ducati 749S accessories for road and track

The Ducati 749S is a sports bike suited to winding roads and track days. Accessories for that sort of riding should address wind protection, comfortable use of the controls and protection for exposed parts. Before changing its appearance, think about where you spend most of your riding time and which parts of the experience you want to improve.

What riders usually fit to the Ducati 749S

• Screens: wind protection matters on the road as well as during a track session. For the 749S, consider how the screen works with your tucked riding position, rather than judging its shape solely by how it looks when the bike is parked.
• Levers: repeated braking and clutch use on twisty routes put the emphasis on comfortable contact with the controls. On a sports bike used for focused riding, finger placement and operation with gloves deserve more attention than colour alone.
• Protectors: these are worth considering when preparing a 749S for track days or looking to limit damage to exposed components in a fall. They put the focus on looking after the bike before making cosmetic changes.
• Fasteners: useful when replacing fixings or attending to the visible details around the fairing. When tidying up your 749S, distinguish between a fixing that needs replacing and one you simply want to change for a different finish.
• Number plate holders: these address the appearance of the rear end on a road-going 749S. The aim is to integrate the plate support with the bike's sporting lines; treat this as a styling choice rather than a change to how it rides.

For a 749S that splits its time between road rides and track sessions, start with your riding position and use of the controls. Cosmetic details can follow once those priorities are settled.
