Accessories for the Ducati Hypermotard 796

The Ducati Hypermotard 796 brings a supermoto approach to road riding, with an emphasis on winding routes and an upright riding position. It also suits urban journeys, so useful additions depend on where you spend your time: protection for stop-start traffic, comfortable controls for twisty roads, or a screen for the faster stretches between them.

What riders usually fit to the Ducati Hypermotard 796

• Protection: Frequent stops and low-speed manoeuvres are part of taking the Hypermotard through town. Protectors help shield exposed areas against minor knocks or a stationary drop, making them a practical starting point for a bike used for both commuting and weekend rides.
• Screens: A favourite stretch of bends may involve a motorway journey to get there. A screen helps divert some airflow away from your upper body, particularly useful when your upright riding position meets longer runs on faster roads.
• Handlebars and levers: Comfortable access to the controls matters when a ride involves repeated braking and gear changes. These accessories let you tailor the riding position and control feel, whether you spend more time on winding roads or working through city traffic.
• Tail tidies: A tidier number plate mounting arrangement suits the Hypermotard's sporty, stripped-back character. This is primarily a styling choice for riders who want a cleaner rear-end finish rather than building their bike around long-distance touring equipment.
• Mirrors: Rearward visibility matters in busy traffic, especially before changing lanes on your commute. Mirrors also influence the appearance of the Hypermotard's handlebar area, so they play both a practical and a visual role in a road-focused setup.

For regular motorway links, give wind protection more weight. If your riding centres on town and twisting back roads, protection and comfortable controls are the more useful starting points.
