Accessories for the Ducati Hypermotard 821

The Ducati Hypermotard 821 brings supermoto character to road riding, with an upright riding position that suits both town journeys and days on twisting roads. Choosing accessories for it starts with how you spend your time in the saddle. Controls and protection matter for everyday use, while wind protection becomes more relevant when your favourite back roads involve a lengthy motorway journey to reach them.

What riders usually fit to the Ducati Hypermotard 821

• Protectors: A Hypermotard used around town spends plenty of time being parked and manoeuvred at low speed. Protectors can help limit damage to the areas they cover if the bike tips over, making them a practical addition for daily riding.
• Levers: Repeated clutch and brake use in traffic puts the way the levers sit against your fingers into focus. Their shape and reach also matter on winding roads, where frequent changes of pace keep your hands busy at the controls.
• Handlebars: Hand position is central to feeling comfortable in the Hypermotard’s upright stance. Handlebar choice deserves attention when considering arm and wrist position, particularly if short trips through town share your diary with longer weekend rides.
• Screens: Sitting upright means more exposure to the wind across your upper body. A screen can make faster connecting roads less tiring, especially when a ride involves a fair distance before you reach the bends you came for.
• Number plate holders: A less obtrusive plate holder can give the rear a cleaner appearance that suits the Hypermotard’s sporty character. This is primarily a styling change for riders who want to keep the back of the bike looking uncluttered.

For a mix of commuting and weekend riding, start with your position and contact with the controls. Give wind protection greater priority as longer road journeys become a regular part of your riding.
